“Jei Beibi” (“Hey Baby”) is Cafe Tacvba’s first work in five years, and its a mature record, reflecting on the band’s 30+ year career and the relationships that have started, grown, and ended in this time.
“All forms of art are about creating new bonds,” explained Rubén Albarrán, the longest-remaining band member as its frontman since the band first came together in 1989. “In this case, we want to create music and write lyrics that lead us to different rhythms. That’s what we enjoy.”
